Privacy Policy
The short version
- No account, no sign-in, no ads and no tracking.
- We do not collect personal information.
- Your progress, settings and purchase status are stored only on your device.
- Purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details.
- The only thing the app sends out by itself is an update check, which carries a random install ID.
01Who we are
Thai Prison Lingo is published by COLDTER (“we”), based in Thailand. We follow Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) (PDPA) and the privacy laws of the places where the app is offered, such as the EU and UK GDPR. Questions: support@coldter.com.
02What the app stores on your device
To remember your game, the app saves these on the device only: your lessons, stars and exams, the words in your word book, noodles, keys, the wall tally and doctor’s notes, quests, the zone league and the in-game cellmates, your purchase status (which VIP plan is active, and whether the one-time newcomer pack was bought), and your settings (language, sound, music and reminder time).
This data is never sent to us. It is deleted when you delete the app. If a save file is ever damaged, the app keeps the damaged copy on the device and starts fresh; that copy stays on the device too.
03What leaves the device: app updates
When the app opens, it checks for app updates (bug fixes and small improvements) with Expo, the service that delivers them (EAS Update, run by 650 Industries, Inc., USA). The check sends a random install ID that the app creates itself (the EAS client ID), plus the app version and the iOS version. The ID is not linked to you, your name, your Apple ID, your device’s hardware or any advertising identifier, and it is not used for advertising or tracking. Expo uses it to deliver the right update and to count how many installs received each update.
Like any internet request, the check also carries your IP address. We do not receive or store it; Expo handles its server logs under Expo’s privacy policy. Deleting the app deletes the install ID, and a new install creates a new one. Without an internet connection the app works normally.
Apart from that check, the app sends nothing. It has no servers of its own, no sign-in, no analytics or crash-reporting tools, no advertising SDK and no advertising identifier, and it does not ask for your location, camera, microphone, photos or contacts. The friends and league rivals in the game are characters made up for the game: there are no other players, no chat and no way to contact anyone. Links in the app (this policy, the terms of use, the music credits) open in your browser only when you tap them.
04Purchases and subscriptions
Optional purchases (noodle packs, the newcomer pack, VIP monthly or yearly, VIP Gang and the one-time Life Sentence) are made through Apple’s App Store and are covered by Apple’s privacy policy. Apple processes the payment and does not give us your name, email address or payment details.
To switch VIP on, the app asks Apple’s StoreKit on your device which of your purchases are active. The answer stays on the device. VIP Gang is shared through Apple’s Family Sharing, which Apple runs; we do not see who is in your family.
05Notifications
All notifications are local reminders that iOS schedules on the device. There is no push service and no push token, and nothing about them is sent anywhere.
- A daily reminder from Tiger, only if you turn it on in Settings (you choose the time).
- If you start a free trial, one reminder two days before the trial ends.
You can turn them off in the app’s Settings or in iOS Settings → Notifications.
06Ads and tracking
This version has no ads and no third-party advertising, analytics or tracking code, and it shares no data with ad networks or data brokers. It does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. If a future version ever adds ads, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
07Age
Thai Prison Lingo is rated 18+ and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
08Your rights and deleting your data
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on our side. The update install ID is random and not linked to anyone, so it cannot be traced back to a person.
To delete the data on your device, delete the app, or open Settings → App Data → Start Over in the app. Start Over deletes all progress on the device; your VIP and purchases stay with your Apple ID. You can always contact us with any question about your rights under the PDPA, the GDPR or other laws.
